MANDY TURNER
ABOUT ME

Mandy has lived most of her life living in Shepparton, Victoria. Her parents owned a motorcycle shop until 1994 and when it was sold, they decided to move the family to the outskirts in a small orchading area called Orrvale. It was here that Mandy has some of her best memories growing up in the 90's. Playing outside and visiting neighbours on bikes until sunset were her top list of things to do on a weekend. She attended the local primary school, Orrvale PS and later Wanganui Park Secondary College. When Mandy was 13, she purchased her first car, a Morris Minor, for $50 and was quite happy when she sold it for $100! Her part time job at Super Cheap Auto helped her understand cars just that little more.
Mandy has always had a passion for cars and decided VW Beetles were her type - 'they are just so unsual.' Not only did Mandy have an unhealthy obession with them, she also had an obsession with the band, The Beatles! Her favourite being the late George Harrison. Mandy is also talented in the music area too, playing the trumpet in high school and the guitar later on.
After high school, Mandy received a job at the local radio station, 98.5 One FM as the news writer. This then lead to volunteering her time on air. She fell in love with the radio industry and was lucky enough to score a panel job at Shepparton's commercial station, 95 3SR FM. Her boss saw her love for announcing and she was soon given a job on air. Although the early morning rises were tough, her favourite memories were doing breakfast with Greg Evans.
Recently, in August 2015, Mandy had the opportunity to be a contestant in Car Advice's 'Correspondant'. She was in the final 3 and was very shocked to hear she was the winner. This opportunity gave her the chance to test drive a car every week and write reviews.
